TO THE 4th WEST AFRICA CREDIT UNION REGIONAL FORUM IN GHANA
The African Confederation of Cooperatives Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA), in conjunction with Ghana Cooperative Credit Union Association (CUA), invites the participation of the Gambian Credit Union Officials in the 4th West Africa Regional Block Forum scheduled to take place from 8th to 11th March 2022 at the A.H. hotel in Accra. This year’s Regional Forum theme is ” Co-operative Business Model Adding Value to Credit Union Members in a Disruptive Environment.” This has been selected to help promote dialogue on emerging trends post pandemic and help Credit Unions collectively reinvent innovative ways to address challenges faced by the membership base. We acknowledge that the Credit Union ecosystem today has been redefined by disruptions at the national, regional and continental levels. It is impossible to estimate the long-term effects of disruption, such as the current COVID 19 pandemic however it is realistic to expect that the membership will be adversely affected. Nonetheless this provides an opportunity for Credit Unions to rethink the Credit Union Model Framework. With these emerging effects, changing member behavior necessitates the need for leaders to re-evaluate how they interact and serve their members. As we look to the future, this forum provides an opportunity for various stakeholders to engage on critical aspects such as new service delivery models, leveraging on data analytics, strategies to mitigate against effects of low economic activity, and changing regulatory landscape. In contrast, several CUs in Africa are navigating through the crisis in the short term through a lengthier time, and a futuristic approach may yield stability and sustainability. The registration investment fee for engaging in this dialogue is USD 500. Find attached program and registration form.
